Meet the Staff
James O. Rose - Pastor/Teacher A Native of Florida, Jim received his degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1958. He was employed as an Aerospace Engineer on the East Coast and worked on the Apollo Project. He received his Master of Theology in New Testament Greek at Dallas Theological Seminary in 1967. Jim pastored Northwest Bible Church in Dallas and was involved in the Church growing from 325 to 5,300 members. Jim has preached throughout the U.S. and more recently he pastored Calvary Baptist in New York City, and Grace Covenant in Austin. Jim and his wife Phyllis Ann have led over 30 trips to the Holy Land and also to Egypt and Greece. He has spoken at conferences in India, Indonesia, New Guinea, Thailand, Peru and across the US.
His heart is for missions and he has spoken for Wycliffe Bible Translators at their Annual Conferences in North Carolina, Texas and California. He has become well known for his dramatic sermons and narrative writings. His portrayal of numerous bible characters is often effectively used as an evangelistic approach to the Scriptures.
Jim and Phyllis Ann have been married 50 years and have two sons, Dr. Keith Rose of Corpus Christi and Mark Rose of Minneapolis, and 7 grandsons.

A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dennis has been involved with music ministry in Kingsland for over 10 years. He and his wife, Swanna, have been married for 29 years and have two children Rick and Jonathan. They also have 2 grandchildren Isabelle and Cameron. Dennis became a follower of Jesus at the age of 9 in the Arlington Heights Church of the Nazarene in Corpus Christi, and began playing and singing for the Lord. He was licensed to the ministry by The First Baptist Church in Kingsland, Texas. Dennis has studied music at 5 different universities including Stephen F. Austin and the University of North Texas. His heart's desire is to help people become passionate about Jesus and allowing worship to flow from their encounter with the risen Lord.
Will is a native Texan, born in San Antonio. He became a Registered Nurse in 1982 and graduated with a degree in Health Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1994 and subsequently found his niche in Pharmaceutical sales. God called Will into a life of ministry around this same time period. Soon after he was ordained at Blossom Christian Fellowship and began classes at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been teaching and involved in small groups for the past 16 years. You can see Will from time to time on his Harley, riding throughout the hill country ministering with others as part of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He and his wife Deborah have been married for 25 years and have a daughter, Jennifer, who resides in San Antonio. Will's passion is to see people connect in small group settings where they learn to love the Lord and each other as commanded by Jesus in Mark 12: 30-31.
Kirk Gambrell - Family Pastor Kirk Gambrell and his wife Laura moved from Plano, TX to Kingsland in December 2008. Kirk and his wife, Laura met while attending Texas A&M University. They have been married for ten years and have been blessed with two wonderful boys, Spencer who is in 3rd grade and Sean who is in 1st both at Packsaddle elementary. Kirk first entered the ministry in the summer of 2000 as the youth ministry intern at Cy-Fair Christian Church, located in Houston, TX. In February of 2001 the church hired him as the full time Children’s Minister. While working at Cy-Fair Christian Church Kirk completed his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary’s Houston extension. After serving as the Children’s Minister for 5 ½ years, he moved to Dallas to finish his Master of Theology in Pastoral Ministries. Kirk graduated in December of 2008 before moving to Kingsland to become Packsaddle’s Family Pastor. He enjoys following Aggie football, hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. Kirk and Laura love the hill country and are excited to be doing God’s work alongside the people of Packsaddle Fellowship. They are also thankful to be close to Laura’s mom, Pam Durst and her parents Spencer and Judy Landes.
